Famous Colorado Brand Extending Front Range Reach
Monday, 21 April 2008 08:47

Colorado’s most famous almond toffee and candy makers have sweetened the retail landscape in Arvada, Colo., by opening an Enstrom’s store featuring the World Famous Almond Toffee, among other chocolates, confections and premium ice cream made according to Chet Enstrom’s original 1929 recipe.

The location, 6770 West 52nd Ave. in Arvada, was previously a Stephany’s Chocolates factory store. Enstrom Candies purchased Stephany’s Chocolates in 2006. Because Stephany’s is a wholesale line of all-natural chocolates and confections sold via regional and national retailers, the company converted the Arvada factory store to an Enstrom’s retail location. The company also operates three other year-round Colorado retail locations – in Grand Junction, Fruita and Denver (Cherry Creek area).

Qwest Foundation Donates Additional $350,000 to National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
Wednesday, 16 April 2008 14:48
The Qwest Foundation and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) announced the addition of a bilingual telephone hotline to NetSmartz411, a first-of-its-kind, free online safety resource for parents, guardians, children, teens, educators and law enforcement to raise online safety awareness and keep children safer on the Internet.

NCMEC announced last year that the number of reports of online sexual enticement of children to their CyberTipline had nearly doubled from 6,374 in 2006 to 11,386 in 2007. That increase inspired an immediate response from the Qwest Foundation to help supply more families with access to Internet safety resources by funding the new toll-free hotline, which provides direct contact with experts by dialing 1-888-NETS411 (1-888-638-7411).
