For the 32nd year, Gwin Johnston was invited to be a judge for the 2013 Silver Anvil Awards. The awards, which are held by Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), are given to organizations who have reached the highest levels of professional achievement in public relations.
“I learn something new every year in the Silver Anvil competitions. This year my lesson was that you can’t win a Silver Anvil without measurable objectives. Surprisingly, many of the entries didn’t contain them.” Gwin was the senior judge on the panel reviewing integrated campaigns. Her panel included Alicia Thompson, APR, vice president of communications and public relations for Popeyes, Sandra Fine, APR, vice president of RBB Public Relations and Tim Schramm, senior vice president of Coyne Public Relations.
The judging took place in New York City on March 22.
